King James personally confirmed that he would star the reboot of Space Jam movie.
Lebron James said that while missing the NBA playoffs really hurts him, this movie makes him better now.
In his Twitter post, James unleashed his joy and said that taking the lead role of this movie is ‘craziness.’ He said that he is an avid fan of this movie that was first released in 1996. The main cast of Space Jam then was the basketball legend Michael Jordan.
This movie is basically about defeating monsters through all-in basketball. Aside from James, Looney Tunes characters will also play big in this movie.
Some people compared Jordan with James; however; the latter said that MJ is beyond compare.
Aside from James, expected also in the remake are NBA stars like Damian Lillard, Anthony Davis, and Klay Thompson. WNBA stars Nneka Ogwumike, and Diana Taurasi will also join the jam.
Some reports circulated online that Steph Curry was also included in the plot.
In his exclusive interview with the New York Times, Curry confirmed the news. He said that he was offered to be part of the movie, but he rejected. Curry expressed that he like to join the other NBA stars, but the timing is bad. He said that he has lots of prior commitment to attend first. Curry is thankful that the producer of the Space Jam 2 is his good friend Ryan Coogler. He said that it never took him more time to explain why he needed to refuse the offer. Nevertheless, the Golden State hot shot wished the success of this movie.
In retrospect, the first Space Jam became a worldwide hit in 1996 after successfully combining cartoons and human in a full-length movie.
People are keeping their high hopes that the Space Jam remake will be as good, if not better, as the original.
